Bruce R. Green, 76 passed away on Tuesday March 5, 2024 at CT. Hospice in Branford. He was born on April 15, 1947 to Hyman & Belle Green. After graduating from Hillhouse High School, Bruce served his country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. After being discharged from the Air Force he joined the New Haven Fire Department, where subsequently he was injured in the line of duty. Even though his firefighting career was short lived, being a firefighter was truly his life's passion. Bruce enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling, and supporting his grandchildren as they participated in their various activities. Bruce enjoyed spending his time playing poker with his wife Laurie. He is survived by his wife Laurie, children from his first marriage, Corey Green (Zeila), Tracey Trowbridge (Timothy), Scott Green (Gina), and his step daughter Elizabeth Somers (TJ), grandchildren Zachary, Taylor, Juan, Matthew, Jennifer, Christine, Brittney, and Taylor. Bruce was predeceased by his second wife Teala, brother Leonard, and sister Shirlianne.
