Susan was my mom for a year. I stayed at her home with Phillip on the 1990, Will and Andrew were kids, Evelyn was staying with us also, so I had the privilege to experience the life with all of them as a member of the family and fill me up with so many memories and experiences that I keep in my heart. I had the chance a few years ago ti pay her a visit with my wife and could feel the same hospitality and affection as a mom that I felt 26 years back. I only have gratitude for her and the love that she gave to everybody around her.

I am Susan’s first cousin; my father and Susan’s father were siblings. I spent many fun times with Susan and her family growing up – and again as adults – Susan was the great organizer in getting us cousins together for a meal and to explore NYC. Our sincere condolences to the entire family. She will be missed. May she rest in peace.

Susan was generous with her knowledge and time in helping to care for our Temple Emanuel gardens. She fed the plants and made sure they would be healthy. Her favorite mission was to improve the parking lot islands and planted Saw grasses in them. She also brought us little boulders that line the gardens along the driveway curb. We had so much fun chatting and weeding!

Susan was well-loved by her TE community. I could always count on her to lend a hand with our dinners. She was kind and sweet and her gentle ways will be sorely missed.

Hello Everyone,

We are Susan’s Virginia family, and know everyone will miss my special Sister. She was an amazing, kind, person who left her fingerprints, and good works all over.

Susan will live on in our memories of all the times we spent together. Growing up years ago, we shared a bedroom and closet in a house our parents bought after WWII.

Her husband died just two weeks before our daughter got married. Despite her sorrow, Susan came down with both her boys to be part of the celebration.

Susan, your spirit will always be with us

Dear Andrew and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I will always remember her kindness to my family after my father passed away. My mother enjoyed her company, and I know that she will be missed by many in the neighborhood. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

There are not many that equaled Susan in her kindness, openness, generosity, and willingness to help others. She was never shy to share any knowledge or experience that she had, to help others. Her spirit will definitely live on in the lives of those that she has helped and touched. The darkness of her passing cannot overshadow the light that she brought to the world. She will be missed, but never forgotten.

Susan and I have been friends for many years. She was a kind, helpful and giving person. We worked together at the Milford Historical Society doing school tours, cemetery tours (She told of John Downs’ life) and fairs. She was wonderful to work with and I will miss her very much.

I am so sorry that Susan will not be a part of our craft group. We will dearly miss her. We have been friends for many years. I even had the opportunity to live with her for a few months. I’m not the only one, Susan shared herself with so many people. I am so saddened by her passing. Rest in peace my dear friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Susan’s passing. She is in peace but will be dearly missed from many people she has touched.
She was so kind and concerned for helping. I remember my move into the neighborhood four years ago where Susan made me feel so welcomed. I was very fortunate to have many deep conversations with her and will think of her with fond memories.
