I met Stan during my years at Uniroyal Chemical and the successor companies. During the early and middle years of my career there, he was one of the most knowledgeable and helpful people I came into contact with. I came to rely on him, not only for technical help and advice, but as a friend and advisor. He was one of the most gracious and caring people I met during those years. I would like to pass on my most sincere condolences to his family. I was not aware that Rita had passed earlier and was equally saddened to learn of her passing. I remember sitting with them at Uniroyal social gatherings and how much fun they were to be with. In my mind, they were a model couple and their love for each other was something you don’t often see. May both of their souls rest in eternal peace.
My deepest condolences to the entire family on Stanley’s passing, sadly within the same year as Rita’s death. I was blessed to have known them for almost 40 years within the community. Having been privileged to attend their open house gatherings and milestone family events was truly a mitzvah both for me and my late wife. Stanley’s selfless dedication to youth in the Amity area and beyond was overshadowed only by his extraordinary humility and integrity. His honorable legacy will endure in perpetuity.
My sincere condolences to the loved ones. May you live long to honor Stan and Rita in memory.
It was a blessing and an honor to have worked with Stan, especially having the pleasure of their company in occasional dinners with the most adorable couple I have met….
Loved Stan’s Poconos-style humor and always made sure to seat next to him, and yes Stanley, I did hear as well that “soup” was the first choice…..
I was devastated to hear of Stan’s passing – he was a wonderful, kind man. I worked with him for many years at Uniroyal/Crompton and lived nearby in Woodbridge. My husband and I spent many times having long conversations with him and Rita and always enjoyed his stories. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. My sincere condolences to his family.

Dear Steven, Susan ,Matt and Beth.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your Father. It was such an honor to know him. I always looked forward to his cheerful greetings and his supportive acknowledgements after I and later my Sons finished playing a game at Amity. Both of your parents where such icons in the Woodbridge community and we all benefited from their tireless dedication. My thoughts of them always bring a smile to my face. You all have such wonderful memories that I know you will cherish forever. Please know that your entire family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Love Always
Lori Hamilton Bowles
So sorry for your loss. I remember many amazing times at your house over the years.
Stan always had a smile for me in my first years at Amity. His and Rita’s encouragement as I coached was something I always appreciated and I was always grateful to catch up with them at the pool club. Their legacy will be long lasting throughout Amity and the BOW community. Wishing all of your family peace as you celebrate a most remarkable life. May your memories comfort you in the days ahead.
Stan was a great guy and wonderful teacher of bridge. I was a colleague of his at Uniroyal so we chatted quite often.
