I cannot grasp the reality that my cousin Sigi is no longer with us. But Sigi WILL forever be with me, his smile, his beautiful personality, his most inspiring kindness and humility. I will keep reading, rereading and sharing with my children and grandchildren his most vivid testimonial of his life that he shared with me. I cannot stop thinking how very fortunate I was to be with my cousin only a few weeks ago when i was sure that I’d be back visiting with my husband.I will forever be grateful for the kindness he showered me with, his love and regard for my mother and grandparents. As Sigi was looking thru his diary to find where there were entries that mentioned “the Hellers”. I will never forget how Sigi and Liesl miraculously popped in the night Jordan and I got engaged and drank the first l’chaim with us!! I loved when Sigi brought his dear mom, our loving Tante Rescha to Chicago to be with us.All and more of those beautiful memories are part of me and ingrained in my heart. Of course i remember our meeting back when at Pioneer with Susan and David and I can go on and on.
Its SO hard for me to actually express this:May his memory be a blessing .Liesl, I am so very happy you had each other for so many years,Sigi was a real gem of a person.David and Susan, you are so very fortunate to have had such an amazing dad. Of course such special parents have beautiful children and grandchildren. Abbey, I was so fortunate to meet you and hope to meet all of you in the future
