Harlene, I just read online an obituary about Bob’s sudden passing. I am so sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and family. I volunteered with you and Bob at the CT Tennis Open and the International Arts & Ideas Festival. Bob will be missed and remembered by all who knew him for his friendliness, kindness and willingness to help or volunteer.
I’m so sorry to hear of Robert’s passing. We are thinking of you.
Dear Harlene and family,
I was saddened to learn of Bob’s passing. He served with us on the East Gate board for 3 years. He always had great suggestions and was willing to lend a hand when I need it. All who knew him have been truly blessed by his presence. We will miss him and his smile. My prayers are with you and your family.
Dear Harlene,
Although I am living full-time in FL now, I get the sad news from ShivaList. It was such a shock to learn that my Southern/sports/theater pal and your dear husband is gone. My sincere condolences and best wishes for healing go out to you and your family. There are just too many of our peers leaving us too soon. You can show my photo from our Southern yearbook to your kids, for reference.
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Bob’s passing in December. We met as ushers at Pilot Pen Tennis in New Haven and shared a deep love of the game and the theater. Bob later got my wife and me involved as ushers at Long Wharf Theatre and he was a loyal supporter of my playwriting, coming to see many of the staged readings I had in the area. He was a warm and wonderful friend and I will miss him.
Bob was a quiet and respected colleague for many years at Fairfield University. i was very sad to read of his passing. May he rest in peace, and may his family be comforted by the Lord in their bereavement
I’m so saddened and sorry to hear about Bob’s passing. I’m another tennis friend of his and he was such a nice person. Always friendly and loved his tennis. Taken way too soon. May he Rest In Peace and I hope his memories give you peace and comfort.
Harlene and family
So very sorry to hear about Bobs passing.
My deepest sympathies to you and and your family.

Martin and I are deeply saddened at the untimely loss of dear ‘Bobby’. Both on and off the tennis court he was a mensch. I loved being his doubles partner – or opponent. ( He would often hint, by a tiny gesture, he was about to send you the return shot:) He built a white kitchen cabinet for us last year and we enjoyed going to the theater together. We miss him and can’t believe he’s gone. May his memory be a blessing. Our hearts go out to Harlene, Scott, Todd and Adam and the grandchildren. Much love. Lisa
I was completely shocked to learn of Bob’s sudden passing! I just found out this morning (12/28). He was such a vital guy and always had a smile for others. I loved playing tennis with Bob. He was a very good player and lots of fun, win or lose. I had just exchanged a text with Bob on 12/16 to check in and also wish you Happy Holidays! So sorry, Harlene!
We are very sorry for your loss. He was a great supporter of the arts and we will miss seeing him at concerts.
Harlene, Scott, Adam, and Todd,
My very deepest condolences. I have fond memories of Bob from as far back as I can remember. He was a gentle soul with a warm smile and a positive aura. The world has lost a good man. Sending your family strength, good memories, and a legacy to carry on.
Harlene, Adam, Scott and Todd,
We were deeply saddened to hear of Bob’s untimely passing. Many of our fondest family club memories involved Bob, especially his Purim costume as “a flasher”! His deep love for his family, especially his precious grandchildren, always brought a smile to his face. May you find some comfort in the beautiful memories you have.

I’m so sorry to learn of Bob’s passing. I played tennis with him many times. He was a great guy. Very friendly and interesting. Also a very good player. He’ll be missed by many.
We are so very saddened by Bob’s untimely death. He lived life with his amazing wife, Harlene , to the fullest. He loved life, he traveled, played tennis, and cherished his children and grandchildren . And he was a wonderful friend. He will be greatly missed
Dear Harlene,
I was so sorry to hear about Bob’s death. I was happy that I had had the opportunity to meet him and to hear his book recommendations for our group. There are 2 memories of Bob that always come to mind. One evening at a book talk at the JCC when Bob alerted you to the fact that I had just come in and suggested that we all sit together. But the more significant memory was of the picture which you showed at book club one night. It was of you and Bob, your sons and your grandchildren. When you showed it to us, you said something to the effect of, “Bob and I looked at this picture and thought to ourselves, ‘This is the family that we created.'” That is the family who I am sure will provide you comfort at this very difficult time. My sincere condolences.
