On behalf of the Sargent Manufacturing Company community, please accept our condolences for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Marvin for several years prior to his retirement and I benefited greatly from his mentorship and wisdom.

To the entire Bargar family. Sue and I are very sorry for your loss. Marvin was always nice to us; his memory will be for a blessing. Marvin inspired me to save New Haven Jewish memorabilia and to donate it to the Historical Society.

Dear Mitzi – I sincerely regret the news of the loss of Marvin having known him so many years. I would have liked to attend the service but I no longer have a car or anyone who can take me. Also, I cannot walk and am in a wheelchair constantly. Marvin will always be remembered as a wonderful man and a dedicated worker. This is the end of a long history in my life.

To Mitzi, Alan, Arthur, Deborah and the entire family: I am very sorry for your loss. I remember Marvin as a very fine man who knew how to join in on the fun and did not hesitate to do so. His memory is a blessing.

Our hearts are full as we think of all that Marvin gave to us; his dedication, friendship, kindness and the many stories of early New Haven. We will miss him greatly as a friend, and for all his contributions to the Jewish Historical Society.
May his memory be for a blessing.
