Dearest Jennie, you taught me more about strength and resilience and independence than i could ever give you! You had a fierce love for your family and the state of Israel. Together we would speak a “bissell” of Yiddish. I miss you but am inspired by all you accomplished.

Aunt Jennie
Was much saddened to learn today of your passIng.

The five EIDINGERS from Quebec, uncle Bennie, dad Sam, uncle Murph, and Aunts Sarah and Jennie, live and lived and loved in Quebec, then New Haven and Montreal. These five, who we cherish as the ‘fighting eidingers’, had two more siblings who died in infancy, who rest with their parents in Quebec. You had a son and daughter and seven nephews. Your grandchildren and great grandchildren, are my cousins all.

You gave me hugs at mitzvehs in New Haven; now I hug your memory.

Jennie, Sarah, Sally …. my aunts…. Bennie, Murphie, Joe … my uncles… and Sam and Rose, all of you influenced me…. I love you all.

Isaiah 55

For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven,
And returneth not thither,
Except it water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
And give seed to the sower and bread to the eater;

So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth:
It shall not return unto Me void,
Except it accomplish that which I please,
And make the thing whereto I sent it prosper.

For ye shall go out with joy,
And be led forth with peace;
The mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing,
And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress,
And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle;
And it shall be to the LORD for a memorial,
For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

Dearest Aunt Jennie,

How I will miss our marathon phone conversations..In between the talk about the kids, politics and
general gossip, you would throw in words of wisdom for me that I carry, and will, forever.
Thank you for the support when I was recovering from surgery. You were very good at motivating me
to “buck up” asnd get on with it.
Love and condolences to my cousins and their families.

To My Beloved Twin,

Jennie, we had many moments together, both ups and downs, but the one constant in our lives is my love for you. I miss you like crazy, CRAZY, RIGHT?!

May you rest in peace without pain finally.

Mom, you will be missed. I will miss most of all our many animated discussions about the state of our country. Your love and devotion to your daughter and grandchildren was unrelenting. May you forever rest in peace. These last many months were very hard for you and to know you are now at peace is comforting for us all.
Love your favorite son-in-law.

Thank you for being the one I call Mom. Through thick and thin, sunshine and rain we somehow always managed to support each other no matter what the world shoved our way.

These last few months especially were more than a person should have to bear but you did it with dignity and still a sense of humor.

From George to Justin to Jonathan to Jami,

We love you now and forever
