To the Gordon family. So sorry to hear about Mike and then Harriet. We have fond memories of both of them while in Cheshire. I used to see Mike at Home Depot. We remember Harriet as always positive and upbeat when ever we would see each other even when she was on crutches with a broken leg. They will be missed.

Erica, Abby, and Richard,
I’m so very sorry to hear of the loss of such a wonderful and caring woman. I have such fond memories of your mother coming into our elementary school classroom and sharing her love of Jewish Traditions with all of us. Her gentle and warm smile was always so welcomed. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Abby, Richard and Erica,
I am so incredibly sorry to hear of the loss of your wonderful mom and dad. A few years ago I saw your mom and she was beaming with pride talking about all the wonderful things you have been up to – basketball, volunteering, teaching, grandchildren. I will always remember her coming into our classrooms at Doolittle School to read stories about Hanukkah, bringing delicious latkes and sharing friendly hugs! Please know I am keeping your family in my prayers during this difficult time.
With sympathy,
Ashleigh Backman

To The Gordon Family, I can’t believe I just wrote to you about your Dad and here we are for your Mom. So hard to believe and I can only hope that they are resting in peace together. What a great couple and that smile that your Mom always had on her face is one I won’t forget. Try and remember all those great memories. There are no words!!! With our deepest sympathy, Carol & Joel Evans

Dear Gordon Children and Family, It is with deep sadness and condolences that I write this. Your Mother was such a part of our family growing up as she was my sister’s (Sandy Gessner), friend and was always at our home. I can’t imagine you having to lose both parents in 2 weeks. My heart goes out to you all for your loss. May Michael and Harriet rest in peace together, and G-d give you all strength to go through this terrible tragedy. My sympathies to you all.

With great sadness and sorrow and deep sympathy, I send my love to Erica,Abby and Richard. Losing 2 parents in just 2 weeks is just too overwhelming. As Harriet’s “favorite brother-in-law “ I will so miss our banter, Harriet’s great humor and unconditional love of our family. After 53 amazing years, our long adventure comes to a close. I will miss you and Mike so much. My heart is sad. May you both now Rest In Peace forever.
Love, Unk.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Harriet. I remember your mother from when she owned The Added Touch. I worked across the street at Timberline Office Supply. We would always have laughs when she came in. Rest In Peace Harriet

Abby, Richard and Erica,
My deepest condolences to all of you for the loss of your beloved mother Harriet, coming so soon after Mike’s passing. Such fun memories of our times together at TBA with you and your parents! Still use many of the delicious recipes Harriet shared with me. May you find some comfort in your memories.

Our sincerest condolences in the loss of your beloved Michael and Harriet Gordon. Haven’t seen them in years. Thinking of the entire family. Don’s Dad Louis,(nutter) was a great friend of Phils since their days at Hillhouse High. Fondly, Don and Susan Kaletsky

On the heels of Mike’s passing, I again send heartfelt condolences. We are extremely sorry to hear about Harriet. MANY decades ago– and for quite a long period–my dad (Louis, aka “Nutter”) enjoyed a wonderful friendship with Harriet’s dad (Philly). Harriet’s passing seems to close a warm epilogue, to my remembrance of that relationship. Yet, be assured that Harriet’s radiant smile will not fade from my memory. It was always such a pleasure to see her.

Love,

Rick Kaletsky (and for Laurie)
