Dear Cousins,

The funeral services were very moving.
It’s amazing that Abe and I were scheduled to meet this Wed., and Thursday I have the bar mitzvah meal of one of my grandchildren. I told my children about Abe’s plans to come to Jerusalem and they were eager to meet him.

My father spoke about his dear sister with much love and adoration.
That she bravely and courageously was in survival mode for four years is powerful and inspiring.
Hearing how she had such a positive attitude towards life and adversity is a great lesson of her inner strength for everyone to learn from.
May her memory be a blessing and may her awesome attitude be a guiding light for you and your entire families.
Love,
Zelig

Dear Civia,
My sincerest condolences on the passing of your Mom. I know how difficult this is and I hope you take comfort in knowing what an outstanding daughter you were, especially caring for her when her health declined. I’m sure she is very proud of you and thankful for all you’ve done. May she rest in peace knowing she was loved beyond measure.
