Dear Michael, David and Family –

While at Veteran’s Day Ceremonies in Marco Island, Fl., I received a text about the untimely passing of Mark. Mark and I worked together for several years as Captains in the Army Medical Service at the US Army Hospital, Fort Ord, Ca. in the late 60’s. I had the pleasure of introducing Mark and Sandy to Seymour Jacobson in New Haven.
When mom was 6 months pregnant with “you guys” we went skiing. The ski instructor was so nervous, we thought he would pass out. Sandy was just great.
Sorry to hear about your loss. Our good memories will sustain us.
Best Wishes – Jeff Yale

Dear Michael,
Dear David,

I wish I could have been there at your side on this sad day. Your mom and dad have always meant a lot me and are part of some very fond memories. Now, your dad has joined your mom on the other side of the horizon where their ship still sails, we just cannot see it any more. But I will always hear Uncle Mark’s warm voice and remember his kindness.

Feel hugged!
Tong-Jin

My sympathies go out to Mark’s family. I felt Mark was not only a friend who I spent countless hours on the golf course with. But also a colleague , who I could share my professional life and gain his wisdom , but also has a grandfather and husband, a true family man. We would swap tales of our grandchildren and still have a great time playing golf and socializing with my wife and golf buddies in the Danbury area. Mark was affectionately known as “Dr. Divot”. It was a honor knowing him and sharing some great memories, he will be missed.

The world will be a sadder place without Mark in it.
He and Sandy. We’re very dear friends. It was our privilege to share some fond memories
with them.
We hope that the family memories
Of better days and happier times will ease the pain of their loss

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of our dear, dear friend Mark Slomsky. After having been next door neighbors and friends for over 40 years it was our privilege to have known Mark, his late wife, Sandra, and the entire Slomsky family. We will miss Mark and Sandy ever so much, every day. Our love and prayers go out to the family of which they were so very proud.
