Dear Liebnick Family:

Please accept my most sincere condolences on the occasion of Alan’s passing. Your husband, father and brother has never been far from my thoughts in the more than 35 years since we lived together in the ZBT house at Muhlenberg. I was actually just talking to one of my partners about him last week. Alan was one of the most impactful people in my life, and I owe him a great deal. He offered to room with me when I was a freshman pledge on the cusp of being kicked out of the fraternity for being too uptight and sensitive. When he asked me to be his roommate, his exact words were “You need me“ and it wasn’t until several years later that I realized how right he was. He stood up at my wedding just as stood up for me many times during our two years as roommates. I would not be the person I am today without his guidance, advice and friendship and I will never forget him. I look forward to seeing him again in the HaOlam HaBa, the World to Come. May G-d bless his memory and be with you all during this time of grief.
