Mr. Shapiro was my bookkeeping and business law teacher, 1973-1976 at East Haven High School.
I have fond memories of him, as a caring teacher, interested in his students futures, and as a nice man. My sympathy to his family.
My deepest sympathies. The service was very sweet and touching. FYI- my wife and I contributed to Smilow yesterday.) Be well. Love, Adam & Sandra
Scott, sending you much love during this difficult time. My heart goes out to you and your family. I know your dad was a great dad because of the man he raised you to be. You’ll continue to make him proud as you raise your own children. Tell them stories, show them pictures and he will be remembered into the next generation. May he rest peacefully knowing the love continues on in you and yours.
“Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories survive in time of sorrow.”

Your forever friend,

My condolences to your entire family. My name is Lisa Nadasdy and I am Uncle David’s only niece on the Shapiro side. The service was beautiful and I am glad I could be there via Zoom. We will miss him greatly.
It was such an nice service and such a wonderful celebration of David’s life to hear from Scott and Rachael and the grand kids. It was my pleasure to have met David and spend time to know him and enjoy what he meant to your entire family personally. I will miss his smile and kindness he showed to me. I will miss him. He will be a welcome sight to join Zelda in heaven and from them to be together again and keep each other company.
Mark Balmain Remy and Evan’s father.
Thanks to you all for sharing your remembrances of David. We learned much we did not know about him.
