Bob: Thank you for providing the link so Tana and I could participate in real time. We particularly enjoyed your remarks and those of “the soldier” together with the recollections of the Rabbi. It was an honor to say Kaddish with you for your father. With his passing, I guess at 80ish I have become the oldest living Axelrod and I will try to live up to his example as well as that of my Father Samuel and Nathan (Av Ha Shalom to both). I also now better understand my antipathy for technology and my love of music. I feel fortunate that David and I were able to catch up this Hannukah and that my holiday greeting was positioned close to his comfortable chair at the time of his passing. Much love. Charles David Axelrod (son of Samuel and Frances Axelrod) and Kayatana Axelrod

We have been watching the service on the Livestream. We are with you in spirit, sad that we cannot be with you to give you all a big hug. We will miss our Uncle David. We are glad to know that he will be with our Aunt Helene in Heaven.

Love,
Evalyn, Jay, Robert and Amy

I came to know David and his wife Helene and daughter June while on a congregation trip to Israel in 2007. It was a special trip which I know they enjoyed immensely. And I also enjoyed seeing David and Helene for many years to come at High Holiday services…and later, it was only David. I am glad I had the chance to know this lovely man.
