Dear Hoffnung Family
During decades of practice , I had the privilege of working with Dan on many closings and cases. He was a consummate professional. Always advocating for his clients and yet reasonable and mindful of the lawyer’s duty to justice and the law. I will miss him.
My sincere condolences on your loss.

My condolences to the whole Hoffnung extended family.
I knew Daniel as Danny when we were kids and spent time together in the Hoffnung home in NJ, and at Camp Hurley. Dan was a great kid and he will be missed.

Dan will be missed. He was a brilliant lawyer, a true gentleman and a kind soul. So often I would run legal issues and cases by him. I continued to do so years after we worked together because I trusted his wisdom. Deb and your family my sincerest thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dearest Deb, my sincerest condolences to you and your family. I cannot imagine another get together without Dan being there. He was always a central figure and added so much with his presence and input. I was so very fond of him. As spouses, he always made me feel welcomed and part of the group. I did not know he had been ill, except for his knees. I love you, Deb and look forward to seeing you and giving you a big hug.

Dan Hoffnung was one of the clearest thinking, wisest, wittiest and kindest men I have ever known.
I remember years ago, describing my frustration over not knowing how to decide if our aging and increasingly lame Great Dane Belle should be put down or not.
Dan asked me a few questions and then summed up and presented the situation so beautifully and succinctly, as he was wont to do, that I was able on the spot to make what was the correct decision for dog and family. For that and all the wonderful repartee and hearty laughs we shared while bowling, I am eternally grateful for having known Daniel.
